Boticca picks party perfect accessories

I have found out some exciting news today – Jolita Jewellery designs have been featured in Chinese Vogue.com.

Vogue has always been THE magazine for me and seeing our pieces under those 5 fashionable letters means a lot.

The article has a short brand bio and features a variety of cocktail rings, necklaces and bangles spread over five pages.

From Haute Life Magazine photo shoot

This past Sunday I spent entire day at the photo shoot for Haute Life magazine. It was such an exciting day and I wanted to put all of it into a post right away, but my cold turned into a terrible fever by Monday morning and I spent a few days ill in bed.

I am finally feeling better and ready to spill the beans

I have never been on a photo shoot before, so it was interesting to see everything from up close.

We arrived at the fabulous mansion where photo shoot was taking place early Sunday afternoon. As soon as we got in, make-up artists started filling up the space with the make-up and brushes of all sizes, the photographer was setting up the lights and unpacking his gear, my brother and I were retrieving our jewellery and laying it out on the table.

It took a few hours until the models had their hair and make-up done. But the time flew by fast as we were chatting away with the editor of the magazine James, who turned out to be incredibly friendly, nice and welcoming. He even baked mince pies and brought champagne to the set. Now if that’s not haute life, then I don’t know what is….

We talked about our jewellery, the process of creation, the materials used, colours, inspiration etc. When the time came to style I was amazed seeing the necklaces gracing models’ heads. And my favourite shot – three bangles stacked up on the model’s head, Demi necklace falling out like a waterfall from one of the bangles and the Bohemian skull necklace sitting on the shoulder. I can’t wait to see the final shots that will make it to the January issue of the magazine, which will be out on the 27th of December.

The shoot was finished with the interview of Jolita Jewellery designer Algis Abromaitis, which will be available in a form of the video on the 27th of December.
