Colourful statement earrings

Well surprise surprise, after a couple of sunny days London is back to grey skies and downpours. Hmmm, not very pleasant, but not much we can do and none to complain to either! So instead – brighten up your days by adding some colour. And the easiest way to achieve this – is to put on some bright earrings. They will instantly add a splash of colour to your everyday outfit and hopefully get you into summer mood.

Since we barely ever get to the state where we have any of our pieces in stock (purely because of the amount of orders coming through), every single piece is made as soon as the order comes through. Which also means we can customise most of our jewellery based on your requirement. That’s exactly what we’ve done for one of our customers with the statement earrings. The customisation this time was to make the earrings slightly “simpler”, by removing the coral flowers / skulls that we usually use to embellish.

So here’s one pair with coral flowers and another one with skulls:
And here are a few pairs without the flowers, which make the earrings slightly shorter, although no less of a statement.

Jolita necklace meeting Swedish Royals

When a while ago my very close friend told me she’s getting married, there was no question about the jewellery. We were both so excited and decided it has to be something custom made by my super talented brother. Luckily he didn’t scream too much about it and the big pressure he had on for designing something exquisite for the big day.

Altogether we discussed the likes and dislikes, the design and made her a beautiful pearl necklace and a matching bracelet with green stones (might have been peridot, can’t remember now as it was a while ago ) which matched the stones of her wedding band.

She looked absolutely gorgeous as you can tell and I was very pleased that she was so happy with the jewellery.

But what made me even happier, that a couple of weeks ago the beautiful wedding jewellery made an appearance again. And what an appearance it was!

My lovely friend and her husband (who’s face for some reason is slightly distorted in the picture …), that live in Stockholm, went to meet the Swedish Royalty. Doesn’t this necklace just fits perfectly here?

Don’t they look pretty? And the necklace Couldn’t wish for a better person and occasion.

New glamorous statement skull earrings

Not so long ago I introduced a new addition to our collection – Disco Skull Earrings.

When my brother made the very first pair I took an instant liking to them. We are both big fans of skulls (don’t ask, don’t know why, that’s just the way it is) and paired with glamorous crystals for me it was just a match made in heaven. Something glamorous, yet with an edge.

These particular earrings were so popular that we sold out very quickly, hence at the moment we are out of stock. However fear not! Until they are back in stock we have a new pair of glamorous skull earrings.

The new pair is made with clear crystals, with a dash of neon at the centre, and embellished with brass skulls, dipped in gold. The crystals also are dipped in gold for a beautiful rich finish.

I also took a side shot of these earrings to show how thin the skulls are. Not the best shot, but gives an idea.

New colourful hand-painted cuff

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. And if you are in the UK like us, we get to enjoy our Bank Holidays!! The weather is set to be great as well, so that’s fantastic news.

It was a great sunny week, the trees finally put their spring attire and have loads of green leaves, others are blossoming very pretty… and we have a looooot of flowers in our studio as well, which bloomed just in time:)

Today I would like to introduce to you our flower cuff, hand-painted in beautiful soft shades. It’s very easy to wear, it opens up and closes at the front, although you won’t be able to see where exactly, as it is all cleverly hidden with flowers:)

Colourful braided cuffs with flowers, bugs and skulls

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend. Today I wanted to showcase some of our braided cuffs in beautiful colours.

We made a few of them before, but up until now all customers wanted them in a silver grey braid. However we now made some in other colours, which allows to showcase the variety and gives some more thoughts for your imagination:)

All cuffs are embellished with handmade silk flowers, which also are available in an array of colours. Some cuffs are adorned with dipped in gold colourful bugs, some have rhinestones or a skull in the centre of the flower.

Colourful statement earrings

It’s been very sunny in London recently, so nice and warm it felt like summer arrived. So no co-incidence our studio was filled with loads of beautiful colours and summer pieces:)

Majority of them were made for our new stockist in Moscow, a beautiful boutique called Camilla. They make exquisite jewellery boxes and if you have a look at their website you’ll be just as surprised as I was, when I first saw them.  They are truly gorgeous and a beautiful object to decorate your interior even if you don’t have that much of jewellery to store.

So today I wanted to share some of the variations of our colourful Kniginia earrings that we made for Camilla boutique, which are now uploaded to our website and available for order.

I think whilst some people have a very good idea what they are after, others (including me) would find it difficult when we say you can have our pieces in any colours you like. It’s much easier to have a visual, so now you have plenty:) And without further ado….here are my beauties:

All earrings are hand-painted, with bigger stones covered in hand-dyed silk. If you decide to have your own version, you can mix and match the colours the way You like and we’ll do our best to create the piece that you want. Every pair is 100% handmade from carving the crystals, to disassembling them for hand-painting, covering the bigger stones with silk and embellishing with colourful coral flowers. Dipped in gold for luxurious rich finish they are a truly beautiful accessory to liven up your outfit and add some colourful sophistication.

New colourful and funky skull earrings

Happy Saturday! Hope your weekend started well. I had an incredibly busy week (as always), which apart from dealing with loads of queries and attending meetings also included trying on jewellery and taking pictures. I like going to meet new customers as then I get to talk a lot about our beautiful jewellery and boast about my brother’s talent. Needless to say I also like trying on all the jewellery

So today I wanted to introduce our two new pairs of super cool Disco Scull earrings. Well at least I think they are super cool:)

One pair is made with crystals and white hand-carved skulls. Another pair is slightly longer in length and is embellished with pink coral dahlias. Both are dipped in gold for luxurious rich finish.

Aren’t they just a delight ? I really love them, they are light, glamorous and skulls give them a certain edge.

Colourful handmade silk corsages and how to wear them

Happy Saturday! Hope your weekend started well and you have some nice plans. I am particularly excited as fingers crossed tomorrow we will have the promised sunshine and +19.  Hopefully it will be as predicted.

This week’s weather wasn’t extremely nice. Although it finally started getting a bit milder torrential rains and grey skies don’t really scream of a spring. So what one’s got to do? If there’s no Spring outside, we create the spring ourselves:) And we’ve done this by making some beautiful silk flower corsages.

These corsages are incredibly versatile and if you are creative, you can come up with a number of ways to wear them. Here are a few I could think off.

For the most conventional look – you can fasten one on the lapel of the jacket. If you wear shirts, one or two of them will look pretty interesting pinned to the collar.

To accentuate your waist – wear it by pining it to a cardigan at a waist line .

Got a blouse or a jacket that you adore, but is too big? Fold a pleat and fasten it with a brooch.

If you are a hat lover – pin one to the side of your hat. It will also do well by keeping your scarf in place.

Got an unexpected invite out -liven up your T-shirt with a brooch.

Attach one to your belt or a key ring and even a handbag. You can also create a different look by pinning one to your necklace or a bracelet.

Friday inspiration: colours

Happy Friday! Hope you are having a good week. Our week is incredibly busy and I think I’ve already mentioned a million times how busy we are Whilst my brother is pre-occupied with making the beautiful jewellery, I am kept busy discussing with customers various options of our pieces, which also includes extensive conversations about the colours. In addition to answering customer queries I get a lot of requests from stylists who are after something very colourful and think that our pieces fit the bill perfectly well. So these discussions made me think how dull it would be if everything was black and white…

Despite being a big fan of black and white I think having no colours would take away a lot of visual appeal from the pieces.

So I tried playing a bit with this idea and images of our jewellery contrasting black and white with their real colours…

Colours add so much fun to our everyday life and although wearing a lot of black and white myself, I feel obliged my outfit to be a “blank canvas” so that I could show off our colourful jewels.
