Straight from the studio

We’ve got a new batch of silk and I thought I’ll do a very short post to show what the raw silk looks like before we hand-dye it … Here it is a little bundle of joy:)

That's what raw silk looks like, when it arrives to Jolita studio for dying into array of beautiful colours

We then hand-dye it into an array of lovely colours for all our necklaces and cuffs. Below you’ll see a collage of images from the studio: drying silk in various shades and then silk sorted for braiding.

Hand-dyed silk is separated into strands and ready for braiding

However there’s one necklace in our collection, which is made with the original silk colour and it’s our beautiful Seychelles.

I hope you liked my little insight into the making of our braided collection. And if you like the colour of the raw silk and would be interested in having a necklace made with it, but would like us to mix in some different hues than what you see in the picture – drop me a line to discuss the options.

Have a beautiful day!
