Vibrant statement jewellery for Notting Hill Carnival

Hello and happy Saturday! Not only it’s a weekend, but it’s also a Bank Holiday weekend in the UK, which means we get an extra day off.  Shame it’s raining … but not much one can do about that, so will be enjoying it as is:)

Since it’s the last Bank Holiday of the year, it’s the time when Notting Hill Carnival is taking place. Perhaps not as lavish as the Rio Carnival, nevertheless still colourful and fun. I missed quite a few of those, because I usually would be going away on holidays at that time, but last year I have attended and there were so many people I couldn’t see anything :(. Also it was raining (again), so the sea of umbrellas made it all even more complicated.  Nevertheless it’s a great atmosphere with music, amazing food and loads of cheerful people, so definitely worth a visit.

Today’s post I wanted to dedicate mainly to our Colour Therapy collection, which is an explosion of colours just like the carnival itself.

Vibrant necklaces and earrings from Jolita Jewellery's Colour Therapy collection

Firstly – Madrid earrings, that have been added to our collection quite recently. Hand-painted in beautiful colours, the earrings are dipped in gold and rather big in size! In fact big enough to make a bold statement.

Carnival and Salvador necklaces – are our customers favourites. These bib-style necklace are a true explosion of colours.

Tangier is a beautiful necklace, also added to our collection not too long ago. Entirely dipped in gold, this is a beautiful statement piece, perhaps less colourful than Carnival or Salvador, but most certainly no less of a statement.  It’s recently been loaned for a couple of shoots and after seeing some sneaky previews I can’t wait to get the final styling shots, as the necklace was styled as a head-piece and looks most amazing!

And last, but most definitely not least piece I wanted to mention in this post – Alexandria necklace.

It has recently appeared in Grazia as one of the jewels to celebrate the carnival in and rightly so! It’s vibrant, it’s big, it’s bold and most definitely will get the people talking. True and tested by yours truly already:)

This colourful statement necklace is made with orange silk braid, mixing in a touch of lavender blue. The braid is embellished with a row of small orange crystals, stitched to the top of the braid and a beautiful crystal necklace, hand-painted in yellow, green, red and blue. The crystals are dipped in gold for luxury rich finish.

All of these colourful pieces and more can be found on our website. And as always, if you have your own colour ideas – please get in touch. We’ve done a lot of pieces for our customers that quite often haven’t made it to our website, so almost everything is possible!

Have a wonderful weekend ahead and if you are attending the carnival – enjoy!
