New luxury statement necklaces coming out soon…

Happy Saturday! It seems like yesterday’s grey skies have finally been pushed away by a bit of sunshine. FINALLY! We really need it, it’s the end of May and we still haven’t had a proper spring apart from a couple of days here and there.

Today’s post will be very short as I have to dash. Going to spend the weekend away from London, visiting my bf’s parents. Really looking forward to it after an incredibly stressful week.

As I mentioned in my previous post my brother has been ill for a while, so we have a number of orders accumulated and that also meant that no beauties have been created…. However the good news is – he’s finally recovered. Not 100% just yet, but feeling much better and we’ve already been discussing some new designs for the upcoming collection.

We will also be introducing a few more luxurious pieces. Those are a true expression of my brother’s imagination, so watch the space as I’ll be posting about this very very soon.

Friday Fashion inspiration

Happy Friday! Hope you had a great week. I had extremely busy week and on top of that unfortunately my brother got very ill. Seems like he’s got some nasty virus, but I’m hoping he gets well very soon and will be able to get to the studio to create more beautiful pieces.

On Friday I usually would post a beautiful jewellery editorial that caught my eye, however today I felt like sharing this beautiful film by Karl Lagerfeld about the beginning of Coco Chanel.

When I watched it I could relate a lot with the movie as to how the business started. The only thing that I didn’t like about it was that regardless how much I like Keira Knightley, I really wanted her to speak with a French accent.

Other than that it’s a lovely little movie and perfect for relaxation:)

New colourful Las Vegas statement necklace

Have you ever been to Las Vegas? I haven’t, but it associates to me with one big casino, glitz and gamble

So when we created this new necklace that’s exactly the name that popped into my head. Allow me to introduce our new Las Vegas necklace.

The new piece is made with a thinner silk braid in a beautiful shade of blue. It is embellished with a row of clear crystals and deconstructed jewels. All jewels are dipped in gold, smaller crystals are hand-painted in blue and orange, and the bigger stones are covered in hand-dyed silk.

New Barcelona dip-dyed necklace

We have a new addition to our Barcelona family – dip-dyed Barcelona in chartreuse and nude silk braid.

Barcelona has always been our bestseller. It is made with green Bohemian style crystal necklace and braided with various colour silks, green being dominant. And here is the new one:

This version of Barcelona is made with a dip-dyed chartreuse and nude silk braid. The colours are very subtle and dipped in gold version is my personal preference.  I always thought that gold brings a certain softness to the pieces. Here’s what it looks like in gold:

And as with all our Bohemian style necklaces, this one is also available as a collar – without the drops.

I absolutely love this quote. Just think about it, how often we are passing by beautiful window displays that make us stop and day dream about what’s “happening in there”. And there are countless times that we go to the shops, flick through the magazines or browse online, returning to the same item again and again, dreaming how amazing it will be once we have them…

Some beautiful shots from NG Saree debut collection

A little while ago I posted a couple of behind the scenes shots from the NG Saree debut saree collection that we loaned some of our jewellery for. They were very particular in what pieces they wanted to use and chose our Marrakech and Malaga in dip-dyed braid.

Oslo necklace: light and easy to wear

Hope you are having a lovely and relaxing Sunday! I am working as usually, but I love what I do, so my work doesn’t feel like work at all

Today I wanted to post about our Oslo necklaces. They are our “smaller” pieces. When I say smaller, I mean they are less bulky and made in a way, so that you could layer them with other jewellery, however they are certainly no less of a statement piece! On the contrary, they are pretty popular among our customers for that same reason.

We created them in a variety of colours, you can see some of them here. Not all of them made it onto our website as these were all custom made orders, however this might give some colour ideas if you like to one of these made.

New Seychelles statement necklace – a ray of sunshine

Whilst the weather is going backwards …. instead of warming up and bringing more sun, it’s getting chillier, greyer and wetter….  We just had to make a new “summer inspired” piece.  Something to take our minds off this dullness outside. Please meet our new Seychelles necklace

This particular version is made with dipped in gold clear crystals and a dip-dyed silk in citrine yellow and nude. Some of the smaller crystals are painted in yellow to resonate with the colour of the silk braid.

I just love the colour combo, looks absolutely lovely, doesn’t it? A truly luxurious piece. And here’s what it’s like when on:

Fashion Inspiration: Vogue India

Happy Friday everyone! London is back to being grey Long anticipated summer ran away again…. Oh well, you’ve got to work with what you have. Luckily I’m surrounded by colourful jewellery, so my days aren’t that grey after all.

For today’s Fashion Inspiration post I chose this beautiful editorial from Vogue India, March 2013. It has a tribal feel, which reminds me of a shoot I was taking part in last year.

The image from Vogue editorial with a model in a cropped top with oversized yellow earrings with feathers and the one with a model in a colourful fringe dress are two of my absolute favourites.

New colourful Hamptons necklace

We have a new piece in our collection, and it’s a beauty! When I saw the rhinestones I knew it’ll be something fabulous. But as it always happens…the final piece that my brother made exceeded all expectations. I am in love with it…

We decided to name it Hamptons, after a place where globetrotters and fashionable socialites of New York and other parts of the world love spending their summer. For me the new necklace associates with a big glamorous outdoor party, somewhere by the pool, worn by someone in a floaty silk dress and gorgeous heels.

The necklace is braided wit chartreuse, cream and orange silks and the crystals are hand-painted in beautiful shades of green and orange.

And that’s what the necklace looks like when it’s on.
